As a real estate broker with award winning Morrison House Sotheby's International Realty®, I get to indulge my obsession with Pacific Northwest architecture as well as meet and assist the amazing people that choose to live in this stunning corner of the world.
I was born in the UK and got into real estate in the late 1990's. I was lucky enough join one of the top national real estate companies in the country, Black Horse Agencies. They were a subsidiary of Lloyds of London, and I was trained to both negotiate real estate transactions and list properties for sale within our prestigious downtown city office. I was unaware at the time how fortunate I was, as my role was experimental. Traditionally it was the office manager's role to go out on listing appointments.
It turned out that I was particularly good at getting clients to list with our office, and I won a couple of internal national awards for my marketing materials and property photography skills.
Moving forward to my arrival in the US: I met my wife online back in 2011; we wrote and wrote for about a year before we decided to actually meet and traverse that large Atlantic Ocean between us. She was living in North Carolina at the time so we met at the Atlanta airport. We then embarked on a make or break 10 day road trip. Well needless to say, you already know that she's now my wife. We married in Key West, Florida at the end of 2012 and have never looked back. We applied for me to become a US Citizen and after a lot of time and money, I became citizen Carey. Such a cool day!
Now we live in the Pacific Northwest. After years of traveling around, we both feel that this area is home and plan to stay in and around this stunning part of the world. I think it's a great place to call home. Speaking of which, I decided that after a few years away from the real estate business, and buying a selling a few homes during the last 6 years, that I really missed the buzz and excitement I got from helping others to do the same, often finding their forever and dream homes.
Being based in Gig Harbor gives me a really good accessible location to get to Kitsap, Pierce, Thurston and King counties.
Working in the Puget Sound gives me the opportunity to work with some of the nicest homes in the country. Also, I reckon the folks around here aren't too bad either.
I really do look forward to working with you as my clients and honestly can't wait to get stuck in with marketing your property. For me, this isn't just another job. I actually love what I do; the people that I meet and help along the way become kind of an extended family. Working in association with Sotheby's International Realty® simply makes me strive to be the best, and do the best, for you.
